Below are the current cats available for rehoming:
Daisy, DLH , 6 yrs
Daisy is a 6-year-old Domestic Long Hair who has come into our care after her previous owner was unfortunately unable to continue providing for her. She is a purry, affectionate, and chatty cat with a very cute face and personality, although she can be a little unpredictable and tricky to read at times.
We don’t know much about her previous history, but she would most likely do best as an only pet in an adult-only home, where her new owner understands cat body language and can give her space when needed.
Daisy enjoys some attention on her own terms and can be very affectionate once she feels comfortable. With patience and care, she will blossom into a loving and loyal companion for the right home.
Update: Daisy has definitely come out of her shell, a once shy, nervous individual is now confident and loving. She is a lot more comfortable with being stroked and offers a headbutt in exchange for some fuss, she loves her treats and playing the chase toys. We are extremely happy with her improvments and think she would be an amazing addition to most households.
Marmalade- DLH, Approx. 6 yrs
Marmalade arrived with us from a local vet after being handed in as a lost stray due to this we will only have the information we have learned whilst he's been with us to go off.
Marmalade enjoys a head rub and a fuss, he'll nudge and head butt you but we have noticed that he will let you know once he's had enough and would like to be left alone.
- Friendly
- Confident
- Loves his food and treaties!
- Very fluffy beautiful boy!
- Unsure if he has been introduced to other cats / dogs before
Molly- DSH, approx 4 Yrs.
Molly came into Danemere after being surrendered to the vets, as her elderly owner was sadly no longer able to care for her anymore.
She was a little grumpy at first, but it didn’t take long for Molly to settle in. As her confidence grows each day, she now loves to say hello with a soft meow and will politely ask for some fuss. She’s a big fan of head scratches, though she will let you know when she’s had enough.
We’ve been told that Molly isn’t a fan of dogs, so she would be happiest as the only pet in the home. She hasn’t lived with other cats before; however, we have been told that she may be able to live with another cat. This hasn’t been tested while she’s been with us, so a calm, cat-free household would be ideal, although a home with a suitable resident cat may still be considered.
Molly has clearly been well loved and is currently a little on the chunky side. We’re helping her work towards a healthier weight, and her forever family will need to continue this journey with her.
Gizmo, DSH, both 3 yrs (RESERVED)
Narla (smaller one) and Gizmo came to Danemere after their owners sadly had to give them up due to increasing work commitments and could no longer care for them. They are brother and sister and have only ever lived as indoor cats.
Both are confident, happy cats who are very comfortable around people and absolutely love attention. Narla, the smaller of the two, will happily ask for tummy rubs and head scratches, while Gizmo patiently waits his turn but enjoys the fuss just as much.
Ideally, we would love for this lovely brother-and-sister pair to find their forever home together. But they aren't too close or bonded so if an appropriate home comes along for them to go individually, we would consider that too,
Pepper, DSH, Approx 7 Months RESERVED
Pepper is a beautiful young kitten who found herself on the streets for a short time before choosing a family to call her own. After being shown lots of love and care, the family sadly realised they weren’t able to bring her indoors or keep her long term, so they contacted us—and we were very happy to welcome Pepper into our care.
As Pepper arrived with us as a stray, we don’t know much about her early life. What we do know is that she absolutely adores affection. She’ll happily nudge you for attention and completely melts when it’s time for tummy rubs.
During the time she spent with her temporary family, they told us Pepper loved tuna and was incredibly patient and gentle with their children. While we’re still learning how she feels about other cats and dogs, her wonderful personality already shines through—she’s a real little character.
Pepper is a sweet, affectionate kitten who would make a fantastic addition to a loving home..
Piccaso, DSH, Approx 1 yrs
Picasso is a timid boy who came into our care as a stray, so we don’t know much about his early life. What is clear is that he has likely never experienced the comfort of a loving home, as he is understandably very nervous around people.
Since arriving at the cattery, Picasso has slowly begun to build trust with us. With patience, kindness, and a calm environment, we’re confident his true character will shine through. He may hiss a little at first when he’s unsure, but if you approach him slowly and quietly, he soon relaxes and really enjoys a gentle scratch behind the ear—especially if there are a few tasty treats involved!
Picasso will need a calm, understanding home where he can settle in at his own pace. For the right person, he has the potential to become a very rewarding and special companion.
Tony, DSH, Approx 5 yrs
Tony is an absolutely adorable, lovable boy who came into our care through no fault of his own. His previous owner had cared for him since finding him as a stray kitten, but due to a change in living arrangements, they were sadly no longer able to provide the care and housing Tony needs to thrive. After a very difficult decision and a tearful goodbye, Tony is now looking for his forever home.
Tony is no stranger to love and fuss—he’s a big nudger! He’ll happily headbutt you for attention and purr loudly while enjoying it. While he isn’t much of a lap cat and doesn’t particularly enjoy being picked up, he more than makes up for it by being your constant shadow. Tony loves to be involved in everything and will always be close by.
Tony has previously enjoyed being an indoor–outdoor cat and is very happy heading out for little adventures before coming home ready for some yummy food and a cosy, warm bed.
Tony would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for an affectionate, interactive cat who enjoys both home comforts and exploring the world around him.
Kiwi (black and white-male) & Matilda (Calico - female)- 8 months old approx.8 months old
Kiwi and Matilda arrived with us after being found as a stray pair of cats, unfortunately due to this we have no information / history on them other than what we have learned whilst they have been in our care.
Kiwi and Matilda are currently in the adjustment period of being in the cattery which can be a lot to cope with at first with all the sounds / smells/ people and routine, once they have settled in we will give more information regarding their personalities.
Matilda is such a sweet girl, much more confident than her brother and will approach you for a gentle fuss.
Kiwi is not as brave as his sister and can often become spooked by sudden noises and movement however he is such a gentle boy, he enjoys a head rub and a slow approach. We would say that at the moment Kiwi would not suit a busy household with children, he would definitely prefer a slower pace of life. Kiwi is playful and enjoys hunting and catching cat teasers.
Also, Matilda has the cutest markings on her feet, they're all black with pure white outlines for her toes!
28/1 - we will update with more information as they settle and show their personalities more.
Tommy, Semi long haired- 3.5 yrs old
Tommy is in our care through no fault of his own. Tommy's previous owners child was allergic and in turn, suffering therefore they had to make the difficult decision to bring Tommy to us so that we can find him a new, loving home.
- Very friendly
- Great with children
- food and treaties are the way to his heart!
- Has never lived with another cat or a dog
- Likes to go outdoors but never wanders too far - he lived on a cul-de-sac in his previous home so is not used to busy roads
- Often paws you and taps you for attention and fuss
