Below are the current cats available for rehoming:
Claude & Louie - DSH, 12/13 yrs approx.
Claude - medium sized / Louie - larger tabby
Brothers Louie and Claude were brought to us after their previous owner sadly could no longer care for them due to age related ill health.
- Described as calm, independent cats
- Can be shy and nervous but once they feel at ease with you they are very cuddly and sweet
- Like a gentle fuss, chin and head rubs!
- Very bonded brothers - ideally homed together
- Indoor cats only
Claude and Louie are sensitive souls who prefer peace and quiet at their age, they would suit a calming home life without any other pets or young children. Their ideal new home would be with someone that is understanding, patient and kind. Louie & Claude are often found curled up, cuddled in their bed together with a blanket over them. They are such gentle boys and will need someone that can give them plenty of time to feel confident.
Nervous at the moment - as expected, they are getting used to the sights and smells of the cattery.
We will update with more information as they settle in.
Jakey, DSH, 3yrs
Jakey, previously known as Robin, has sadly come back into our care after his owner made the difficult decision to return him. They loved him greatly, he just wasn't the best fit for them.
He is an outgoing, playful, and very confident cat who loves exploring the outdoors and playing with toys and hiding in cardboard boxes.
Independent yet affectionate, Jakey enjoys his space but also appreciates a warm, loving home to return to after a long morning of adventuring. He thrives when he has the freedom to go on adventures outside, but he also enjoys having people around to give him fuss, play, and companionship.
Jakey would do best in a home with safe outdoor access, where owners understand cat body language and respect his need for space. He needs a household that can provide stimulation, play, and interaction, and he is best suited to an adult-only home or one with older children who can respect his independence. Jakey is a lively, confident boy who will make a fantastic companion for someone who appreciates his adventurous spirit, and with the right balance of freedom and love, he will thrive in his new home.
Daisy, DLH , 6 yrs
Daisy is a 6-year-old Domestic Long Hair who has come into our care after her previous owner was unfortunately unable to continue providing for her. She is a purry, affectionate, and chatty cat with a very cute face and personality, although she can be a little unpredictable and tricky to read at times.
We don’t know much about her previous history, but she would most likely do best as an only pet in an adult-only home, where her new owner understands cat body language and can give her space when needed.
Daisy enjoys some attention on her own terms and can be very affectionate once she feels comfortable. With patience and care, she will blossom into a loving and loyal companion for the right home.
As she has not been with us for too long we will update once we know her a little bit better!
Ramone & Cruz , DSH, D.O.B 04/05/205
Ramone & Cruz arrived at Danemere due to a rehoming attempt that had fallen through.
Ramone and Cruz are brothers and get on very well with each other however, we would be happy for them to go to separate homes.
Ramone is super playful with cat teasers and toys - especially foil / feathers. Although nervous at first with people he doesn't know, he is very sweet and quickly warms up once he has gotten used to you. Ramone absolutely adores a head rub / ear massage and will purrr away like a little engine. Ramone has lived with other cats and the previous owners dog very happily. He would often be found snuggling into another adult cat on the sofa or would be lovingly brushing up against the dog. Ramone really likes the company of another cat / animal.
Ramone likes being able to explore the outdoors but will always stay in close proximity to home, never straying much further than neighboring gardens. Ramone is a loving boy who would love to be given the chance at his forever home.
Cruz is a delicate boy with much more of a nervous personality compared to his brother, it takes Cruz a little longer to feel settled and comfortable with strangers - especially men. Cruz was described as sweet but also spicy, he doesn't like quick movement so calmer approaches are best. However, once he knows you and trusts you he doesn't mind being picked up for a fuss and a head rub but he is by nature, a sensitive soul. Licky sticks and tuna are the way to Cruz's heart. Cruz loves being outside and bird watching, outdoors is where his confidence shines and he likes to have pride of place look out on top of the shed. like his brother Ramone, he is great with other cats and dogs. Likes a hidey spot to retreat to. Would prefer a quieter home and a calm, patient, understanding owner to love him and his sensitive soul.
• Would enjoy the company of another animal in their new home - if not together.
• Both Boys love to see the amazon delivery man coming because they know they'll be able to play in the boxes after!
• Ramone and Cruz both have lived with a very young child in previous home with no problems at all however, they would prefer a quieter home as loud noises and quick movements prove too much for the boys to handle and inevitably would hide, which is not fair on them.
• Dog friendly
• Would love access to the outside to explore again
If you would like to meet the pair of beautiful brothers, our cattery is open every day from 11:30-3:30
