Below are the current cats available for rehoming:

Sweetie- DSH, Approx 3 years- RESERVED

Sweetie arrived at Danemere after a kind couple noticed she had been wandering the streets alone, as they could not keep her  themselves, the next best solution was to bring her here. Despite her tough start, Sweetie is a very affectionate, loving cat. Just like her name suggests she is a sweet little cat, who just wants cuddles and attention.

If you would like to come down to meet her please give us a call or pop in during our rescue opening hours.

Lily- DSH, 3 Months- RESERVED

This beautiful little kitten arrived here at Danemere because her previous owners weren't best suited to care for such a young kitten. Lily is so sweet, incredibly playful, and has a beautiful grey coat that's sure to catch your eye. Her adorable little meows have a way of melting hearts, and she's quite the curious explorer, always eager to investigate her surroundings and play with her toys.

She's currently sharing a pen with Nala, another young kitten here, and the pair get along well, indicating she'll likely mesh well with other cats. Given her previous housing situation, we believe Lily would thrive best in a forever home without small children and will need a home full of love and patience to nurture her as she grows.

Tilly- DSH, 11 Years - RESERVED

Tilly was surrendered to us here at Danemere, after he owners had to make a really hard decision, one of her owners had to go into a care home and her other owner felt like they were unable to adequately give her the care she needed. They had owned Tilly for years and said she was a lovely kind-natured cat. It is clear that they were right as she has continued to show this behaviour here at the cattery. Tilly is very friendly and welcomes anyone new to stroke her and give her a fuss. We hope to find Tilly a home with someone who is as kind-natured as she is and someone who can spend many more years loving and caring for her.

Pedro - DSH, Age - unknown

Pedro found his way to Danemere after kind-hearted neighbours noticed him wandering the streets without a place to call home. While his past remains a mystery, it's evident he needs time to trust and feel secure around people. Despite his initial shyness, Pedro has the potential to become a wonderful companion once he feels comfortable.

Ideally, Pedro would thrive in a home with access to outdoor space where he can explore and enjoy his surroundings.

  • Once Pedro has given you a sniff and you have passed his initial checks - he really enjoys a head rub / cheek massage and chin scratch!
  • Patient owner who can go at Pedro's pace and not overwhelm him
  • Could potentially thrive on a farm but equally can see him being a great sofa companion for the right owner

Harry - DSH, 12 months-RESERVED

Harry arrived with us due to not settling with the older already established cat in the home. Harry was very timid upon arrival and still can be quite wary of people now.

  • Harry can be slightly temperamental. He enjoys a fuss but once he has had enough - he will not hesitate to let you know.
  • Harry enjoys playing with teaser toys.
  • We will not re home Harry to a household with children / visiting children under 12 years if age.
  • Only pet household
  • Would like a home with a cat flap to wander in and out to explore as he pleases.
  • We believe he would suit being a farm cat
  • Will need an experienced owner who doesn't mind a little bit of cattitude every now and then!

Coco - DSH, 3 years approx. RESERVED

Coco was brought in as a stray without a microchip. Coco was being fed by a couple for a month or so however, due to allergies they were not able to continue doing this so enlisted our help in finding her a place to call home. Unfortunately  due to this we have no history on Coco.

  • Very friendly and confident
  • Enjoys playing with teasers / feathers / catnip toys
  • Will show off her tummy for fuss!
  • Unsure whether she would be ok with another cat  this can be tested
  • Would like access to the outside in new home
  • Does not like dogs

If you are interested in Coco there will be a short delay in rehoming process. Our vets need  us to wait and see whether she comes into season to determine in a non invasive way whether she has been spayed previously.

The following cats - Dominique, Imogen and Molly all came to Danemere together after being known as the local strays on an estate for over 2 years.

They were abandoned and have sadly been over 2 years without a loving home, without warmth and a real place to feel safe. These poor girls deserve better.

  • Would like access to the outside in new home via cat flap
  • All cats will need an owner who is prepared to keep on top of grooming to prevent matts and keep their coats lovely and fluffy!
  • They have always been together on the streets, however we are prepared to separate.
  • Independent cats

Dominique - DLH, 7/8 yrs old ( ginger )- RESERVED

Dominique is the one that is most nervous of people and wary.  Dominique can be reluctant to  trust however.. after a couple of gentle strokes, a soft voice and a calm manner she warms up and relax and starts to really enjoy a chin rub. Dominique will need an owner with patience to take things slow and at her pace until she gains confidence.

Imogen - Semi long hair, 7/8 yrs old (no white on chest)- RESERVED

Imogen is very deceiving - she comes across as shy initially but once you start stroking her she absolutely ADORES a fuss! Imogen laps up all of the attention will even go to the extremes sit on her sister, nudge your hand so that you can only stroke her - very understandable that she craves affection after being so long without it.

If you have an empty lap - we can certainly see her eventually making it her new favourite place to reside.

Molly - Semi long haired, 7/8 yrs (white chest)- RESERVED

Molly is very friendly, confident and has the most beautiful eyes to steal your heart with!

Molly is very sweet natured and loves a cuddle..
